Chinoiserie Flacon de Parfum French, retailed by Charles Chevalier, Palais Royal 165, Paris. Made circa 1835. Very fine and rare, ?vase d?or chauffert?, 18K gold and champlevé enamel perfume flask with finger ring. Accompanied by the original goldtooled red morocco fitted box.

Tapered amphora form, each side decorated with a polychrome champlevé enamel Chinese figure playing the triangle, engraved gold and enamel flower decoration on an opaque black enamel ground, hinged lid decorated to match, suspended from a twin gold chain on a finger ring decorated with alternating panels of red and blue champlevé enamel. Dim. 55 x 16 mm.
