Very fine and rare, self-winding, platinum annual calendar chronometer wristwatch with retrograde date, large day of the week and month indication and a platinum F.P. Journe buckle. Accompanied by fitted box.

C. Two-body, solid, polished, concave lugs, transparent case back with 6 screws, sapphire crystals. D. Off-center, guilloche silver with painted radial Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial secured to a brushed and ruthenium-plated 18K gold plate by 3 screws, outer concentric sector for the retrograde date indication, apertures for the days of the week and the month. Blued steel Journe hands. M. Cal. 1300, ruthenium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 32 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic 4-arm balance with 4 timing weights adjusted to 5 positions, self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring, bi-directional 22K gold guilloche rotor. Dial, case and movement signed, movement also engraved "Exclusive Power Reserve System" and "Precision Chronometer". Diam. 40 mm. Thickness 11 mm

Ruthenium IIs a chemical element whose symbol is Ru and whose atomic number is 44. A rare transition metal of the periodic table?s platinum group, ruthenium may be associated with platinum ores and is used as a catalyst in some platinum alloys. It is a polyvalent hard white metal that does not tarnish at normal temperatures
