C. Rectangular, asymmetrical, the glass panels secured by chromed bars, rectangular base. D. Matte silver with luminous and black baton indexes, outer minute track. Blued steel and white painted lozenge hands. M. Rhodium plated, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed. Raymond Templier (1891-1968) Came from a family of Parisian jewelers. He was famous for bold geometric designs exemplified by the present clock. He was particularly fond of using white metals combined with dark materials in his work, the classic colors of the Art Deco period.
