Singing Bird Attributed to Karl Griesbaum, Germany. Made circa 1950 in the style of the late 19th Century. Fine, repoussé sterling silver and gilt singing bird box. Accompanied by a key.

C. Rectangular, ?bombé? form with repoussé relief decoration of fruits, flowers and birds. M. Singing bird movement: going barrel, rectangular belows, Griesbaum whistle, the bird rotating and moving wings, tail and beak, controlled by a rack and two cams mounted beneath the barrel, gilt brass grille engraved with foliage, activated by a pull-stop in the side of the case. Base stamped ?Tiffany & Co.? Dim. 100 x 64 x 38 mm.
