Half Grande Sonnerie Minute-Repeating Carriage Clock Swiss, patent No. 13896, retailed by C. Meyer, Montreux. Made circa 1900. Very fine and very rare, small, gilt-brass, 8-day going, half- Grand Sonnerie striking and minute repeating carriage clock.

C. Rectangular, ?anglaise?, matte gilt, twisted Corinthian columns, filigree side panels and hinged back door, stepped base, hinged handle. D. Circular white enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer gold paillon dot minute divisions, cream mask with gold paillon decoration. Gold spade hands. M. Rectangular matte gilt brass plates, going barrels for the going and striking trains, straight-line lever escapement on a matte gilt platform, cut bimetallic compensation balance with temperature and mean time adjustment screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, striking and repeating on two gongs with two hammers, sonnerie/silence button in the base. Dial signed C. Meyer, Montreux. Dim. 103 x 75 x 57 mm.
