Notes

This watch was sold by Antiquorum on March 31 and April 1, 2001, ? The Sandberg Watch Collection?, lot 255. The gold body of the case of the present watch is possibly a 17th century original as it was common practice in the eighteenth century to re-use and refurbish early watch cases. The enamel is however of later date. All other elements of this watch would have been added in the late 18th century.
