Charles Oudin Minute Repeating & Chronograph Charles Oudin, Horloger de la Marine, 52 Palais Royal, Paris, No. 30.230. Made circa 1880. Very fine, 18K yellow gold, minute-repeating, hunting-cased, keyless pocket watch with chronograph.
C. Four-body, massive, ?bassine et filets?, polished, the front cover with engraved monogram ?LL?, the interior of the back cover engraved ?Souvenir ? Reconnaissance, chronograph button at 12. Hinged gold cuvette with inscription ?Médaille aux expositions depuis 1806?. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and outermost fifths of a second divisions, subsidiary seconds. Gold spade hands. M. 19''', rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 35 jewels, wolf?s tooth winding, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Cuvette signed. Diam. 51 mm.
