The Strawberry Swiss, Geneva. Made circa 1810. Very fine and rare, 18K gold, enamel, pearl and rose-cut diamond-set, strawberry-form pendant watch.

Two-body, the back of the fruit in red enamel with half pearls for seeds, green enamel on top for the leaves set with graduated half pearls and alternately set with rose-cut diamonds, spring-loaded bezel, gold stem forms the pendant. D. Gold, champlevé with radial Roman numerals, outer dot minute divisions, engine-turned centre. Blued-steel Breguet hands. M. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, continental cock, rack and pinion regulator with a silver plate. Dim. 25 x 42 mm.
