Singing Birds Attributed to Antoine Salmon, Geneva. Made circa 1950. Fine, gilt-metal singing bird box. Accompanied by winding key.
C. Rectangular, matte gilt brass with applied filigree decoration to the top and banding on the edge, the bird cover with radial decoration. M. Rectangular, brass, large spring barrel, rectangular bellows, bird with flapping wings, opening beak and fluttering tail, two cams controlling the piston and the bird's movements, grille pierced and engraved with foliage. Dim. 103 x 65 x 57 mm.
