Singing Bird German, possibly Griesbaum. Made circa 1890. Fine and unusual, silver-gilt filigree and cloisonné enamel, paste-set singing bird box.

C. Rectangular with curved corners, entirely decorated with curled filigree and red, white, blue an black cloisonné enamel, applied with collet-set foiled faceted colored stones, activation slide at the front, the bird with oval cover decorated to match the case. M. Full plate, turned pillars, rectangular bellows, bird with moving head, flapping wings, opening beak and tail, cams controlling the piston and the bird?s beak and tail, additional cams for the bird?s other movements, pierced and engraved grille. Dim. 100 mm., 68 mm., 50 mm.
