HENRI GRANDJEAN DIAMOND-SET POCKET WATCH Hri. Grandjean & Cie, Locle & London, No. 22169. Made for the South American market, circa 1870. Fine and unusual, 18k yellow gold, painted on enamel and rose-cut diamond-set keyless pocket watch. Accompanied by a gold chain.

C. Four-body, bassine et fi lets, reeded band, the front cover decorated with blue enamel, the center with a gold and diamond-set design, the back cover decorated en suite. Hinged gold cuvette with engraved border. D. Engraved silver with painted radial Roman numerals, the center and outer border with applied gold foliate decoration, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel cathedral hands. M. 14???, matte gilt, three-quarter plate, jeweled to the third wheel, wolf?s tooth winding, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, cuvette and movement signed. Diam. 41 mm.
