SPLIT SECOND RETAILED BY CASA ESCASANY Tavannes Watch Co., retailed by Casa Escasany, Buenos Aires, Swiss, No. 27286. Made circa 1925. Very fine and rare, 18K gold hunting-cased keyless split seconds pocket watch.

C. Four-body, hunting cased, the front and back both engraved with a fl oral motif, the cuvette with engraved with a ship?s wheel and medals for Casa Escasany. D. White enamel, black painted radial Roman numerals with gold stars in between, outer minute track with 1/5 seconds. Gold spade, baton and arrow hands. M. 41 mm, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, bimetallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial and case signed Casa Escasany Movement signed Tavannes. Diam. 50 mm.
