Laurent Ferrier is far more than just a new watch brand; it is above all the story of a passion for fine objects and of the encounter between multiple talents driven by a shared quest to achieve timeless design using cutting-edge techniques. Born into a family with a watchmaking tradition spanning three generations, Laurent Ferrier is profoundly attached to the excellence of traditional horological crafts. His experience in design, technical research and watch exteriors demonstrate his assiduity, his inventiveness and his tireless quest for perfection. His son Christian is right behind him in his endeavours, and this family affiliation represents a token of continuity. Laurent Ferrier draws upon the sources of traditional horology while offering a renewed vision of movement construction. It represents a bridge between watchmaking traditions embodied in a wealth of details and finishes, and industrial innovations. This renewal of classical values makes Laurent Ferrier a respected new exponent of the exclusive art of mechanical haute horlogerie ? a status duly noted by connoisseurs. Laurent Ferrier won the Favorite Men?s Watch prize in the 2010 edition of the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix (Grand Prix d?Horlogerie de Genève).
