RING WATCH Probably Swiss. Made circa 1860. Very unusual and rare gilt metal ring-watch with visible balance.
C. Two-body, octagonal upper to stepped bezel secured by 2 screws, sliding cover to the underside to access winding and setting, inner movement cover. D. Silvered with offset black Roman numerals, lower exposed balance, engraved foliate decoration to the sides and lower. Blued steel spade hands. M. Barrel form, brass, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Bezel dim. 25 mm x 16 mm.
