MIRRORED SIDES WITH PEARLS Unsigned, probably French. Made circa 1790. Very fine and attractive, gold, enamel and pearl covered dial pocket watch.

Two-body, sprung hinged, mirrored front and reverse with mauve royal enamel central plaque over engine-turning to outer green and white decoration, the band with 34 revolving pearls secured in a loop. D. White enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute track, aperture for winding at 2 position. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Gilt full plate, turned pillars, fusee barrel, verge escapement, pierced and engraved continental cock with steel endplate, regulator dial. Diam. 39 mm. Depth 12 mm.
