CHARROT ?THE WATER FOUNTAIN? Charrot, a Paris. No. 8154. Made circa 1790. Fine, gold and painted enamel, key-wind pocket watch.

C. Two-body, the reverse painted with a European scene of two people drinking from a lion-form fountain next to a river, outer white and blue border, engraved band to blue bezel. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions and Arabic fi fteen-minute numerals, winding aperture at 2 o?clock. Gold beetle and poker hands. M. 43 mm., frosted gilt, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, fl at balance spring, continental balance cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 55 mm.
