BASSOT - MINIATURE REPEATER Bassot, Palais Royal No. 30, a Paris, No. 1048, case No. 2426. Made circa 1850. Fine and extremely rare, thin, 18K yellow gold, quarterrepeating miniature pendant watch.
C. Four-body, engine-turned spring-loaded back cover, gold hinged engraved cuvette. D. White enamel with painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Yellow gold Breguet hands. M. 23 mm (10'''), frosted gilt, 11 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm gilt balance with fl at balance spring, repeating on gongs through pull-and-twist piston in the pendant. Case signed. Diam. 26.5 mm.
