LONGINES, REF. 24339196, LINDBERGH HOUR ANGLE Longines, "Lindbergh - Hour Angle Watch", No. 5/10, case No. 989.5216, Ref. 24339196, replica of the famous navigator's watch, invented by Col. Chas. A. Lindbergh and Longines in 1927. Made in a limited edition of 10 examples in 1987, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Lindbergh's first flight over the Atlantic Ocean in 1927. Fine and rare, hour-angle, center seconds, self-winding, 18K yellow gold wristwatch.

C. Four-body, solid, polished, hinged case back with dedication inside, revolving ridged bezel with enameled 15 degree graduations, graduated case band, the ball-shaped crown also activates the revolving central dial, sapphire crystals. D. White with black enameled Roman numeral for the 12-hour indication, concentric, the 180 degrees in Arabic numerals, at the center, revolving satin silver dial with painted black Arabic numerals for the 60 minutes and red Arabic numerals for the 15 degrees. Black Breguet hands. M. Cal. L 989.2, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 25 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating fl at balance-spring, index regulator, hack mechanism. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 38 mm. Thickness 11 mm.
