FIVE MINUTE REPEATER, PEARLS AND ENAMEL Swiss, No. 16791. Made circa 1880. Very fine, five-minute repeating, 18K gold, enamel and pearl-set, half-hunting cased, keyless pocket watch.
C. Four-body, bassine, polished, the front cover with royal blue champleve enamel radial Roman numerals surrounded by pearls, minute track around the glazed aperture, polished band, the back cover with blue enamel monogram surrounded by pearls. Hinged gold cuvette with engraved inscription. D. Gold with fl oral engraving to center, radial black Roman numerals, outer minute dots, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel double spade hands. M. 34 mm, 15???, matte gilt, 29 jewels some in gold screwed chatons, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with terminal curve, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.
