A. Huguenin & Sons., Locle, Swiss, No. 15719/15729. Made circa 1875, sold by P. W. Wood, Montreal, on 31st March, 1879. Fine, large and heavy, hunting-cased, keyless, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with chronograph. Accompanied by the original Huguenin fitted wood box and the sales receipt from P.W. Wood, Montreal.
C. Four-body, "bassine et fi lets", solid, engine-turned covers, the front cover with small central engraved monogram, polished band. Hinged gold cuvette with peripheral engineturning, glazed cover to view the movement. D. White enamel with narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minute track,outermost decimal chronograph track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Cal. 19''', nickel, wavy-line decoration, 20 jewels, wolf?s tooth winding, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, the escape wheel with gold jewel cap, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, cuvette and movement signed. Diam. 55 mm.
