C. Four-body, ?bassine?, polished, the front cover engraved with monogram ?AB?, the back cover with engraved coat of arms, crest and motto ?Deus Amici et Nos? (God, Our Friends, and Ourselves). Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer gold dot minute divisions and blue Arabic fi ve-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gilt Louis hands. M. 32 mm., 12???, rhodium plated, 29 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Diam. 36.5 mm.
