MUSICAL ALARM WATCH Swiss, No. 562. Made circa 1910. Fine and rare, large, gun-metal pocket watch with barillettype pinned cylinder musical movement activated as the alarm and visible escapement.
C. Four-body, "bassine", polished, bolt for start/stop alarm activation in the band. Hinged gun-metal cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic fi ve-minute numerals, aperture to view the escapement. Brass poire hands. M. 53 mm., rhodium plated, visible cylinder escapement with plain three-arm brass balance and fl at balance spring mounted on the dial plate, index regulator. Cylinder musical train playing when the alarm is activated, with 25 tooth comb, fl y governor. Diam. 66 mm.
