Gilt-brass, four matte and polished pillars, the clock dial between, the top with four fi nials fl anking the bell, the hammer connected to the articulated fi gure of a monk at the base appearing to strike the hours and half-hours, another fi gure of a reclining monk behind on a day bed, balustrade and stepped base. D. Etched gilt-brass with radial Roman numerals on white cartouches. Pierced black hands. M. Circular gilt-brass, fausses cotes decoration, going barrels for both trains, straight-line lever escapement on a platform beneath a brass cover, monometallic balance, selfcompensating balance spring, screw regulator. Dial signed. Dim. 35 x 17 x 12.9 cm.
