Very fine and impressive, gold-plated, glass and burr-walnut, 8-day going, hour and half-hour striking mantel clock with triple-date calendar, sunrise and sunset indications, moon phases, lunar calendar and gridiron pendulum. C. Massive, rectangular with rounded corners, gold plated, outset fl uted columns with beaded capitals and bases, burr-walnut inserts to top and base, four sides glazed with beveled glass. D. Two-piece white enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and Arabic fi ve-minute numerals, large silvered six-spoke wheel below for the date and months, fi ve white enamel subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the moon phases, lunar calendar, sunset and sunrise. Black Breguet hands. M. Circular, gilt-brass, going barrels for both trains, anchor escapement, brass and steel 8-rod gridiron pendulum with polished brass bob and fi ne adjustment nut, spring suspension, striking the hours and half-hours on a bell. Dial and movement signed. Dim. 47 x 35 x 21.5 cm.
