VEVER ART DECO DESK CLOCK Vever, Paris, No. 520. Made circa 1925. Very fine, Art Deco, 8-day going, silver, gold, black onyx, coral and diamond-set desk clock.

Rectangular, silver, polished with applied gold Greek-key decoration, cabochon coral on the top, stepped black onyx sides set with cabochon corals in silver, gold and diamond-set mounts, rose-cut diamond-set bezel, stepped rectangular base with applied silver and gold decoration, coral bead feet. D. Brushed gilt with black Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued steel epee hands. M. Rectangular, matte gilt, going barrel, vertically mounted straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel fl at balance spring, index regulator. Case signed. Dim. 72 x 76 x 33 mm.
