DOVE AND ORCHIDS Swiss, No. 116573. Made for the Chinese market, circa 1890. Very fine and rare, small, 14K yellow gold and painted on enamel lady?s keyless pendant watch.

C. Three-body with scalloped edge engraved with formal decoration, the back cover painted over blue and transparent guillooche enamel a scene of a dove fl ying amongst orchids, hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals within gold circles, the center pink with gold decoration, outer minute dots. Gold Louis XV hands. M. 24 mm, gilt, 9 jewels, cylinder escapement, plain three arm balance, blued steel fl at balance spring. Diam. 31 mm.
