SILVER GILT SINGING BIRD BOX Attributed to Griesbaum, Germany, No.1830. Made circa 1950. Fine, gilt sterling silver and painted on enamel singing bird box. Accompanied by a key.

C. Rectangular, engraved with repeated patterns to the base, the upper with radial foliate decoration, the bird cover with painted on enamel scene of two resting ladies with a lamb. M. Rectangular brass, going barrel and rectangular bellows, the revolving bird with moving wings, tail and beak, controlled by two cams mounted beneath the barrel wheel, gilt brass grill pierced and engraved with foliage. Dim. 98 x 58 x 40 mm high.
