Vocht, Schmidt & Co, Germany Brevete VLV, S.D.G.D, No. 42, circa 1870. Fine and rare brass and steel face-plate engine.

Centering plate with three dog clamps, spring-loaded centering post, driven via two-wheel transmission and crank lever, unidirectional slide rest with angular and tilt adjustments, the latter with a scale, depth controlled by a knurled nut with micrometric scale (1-12), T-rest, later wooden base. Signed on the bed. Dim. 29 x 55 cm.
