Large crank lever wheel with adjustable pulley, vertical slide controlled by a knurled nut, horizontal slide controlled by a lever and a stop adjustable screw, wooden base with a drawer with complete set of cutters by Carpano, some by Bretton, holders and turns. Dim. 28 x 32 cm.

Very good condition. This type of re-cutting engine, designed for quickly decreasing the diameter of a wheel, retaining the module and the shape, with automatic entry into a new tooth, was invented by Louis Carpano from Cluses and patented on January 9, 1889.
