Unsigned, Swiss or French, circa 1840. Fine brass and steel large face-plate machine.

Centering plate with three dog clamps, spring-loaded centering post, driven by a large wheel through two pulleys, two-directional slide rest controlled by micrometric screw with calibrated scale from 1 to 12 for the depth movement, angular cutter adjustment, T-rest, tail stock, later wooden base. Dim. 32 x 51 cm.
