Perin & Magniel, France, No. 260, circa 1890. Very fine and rare brass table surveying and astronomical observation 8-day going clock with chronometer escapement and dead-seconds chronograph.
C. Brass, rectangular base with coned stock, circular top housing the movement, large handle for moving. D. White enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute/seconds divisions, subsidiary sunk seconds, winding aperture at 6 o?clock. M. circular 110 mm. going barrel, platform with Earnshaw spring detent escapement, three-arm plain brass balance, blued steel helical balance spring with amplitude control device, chronograph mechanism on the pillar plate. Signed on the movement. Dim. Height 35 cm. base width 16 cm.
