H. Mons à Vevey, circa 1770. Fine 8 day-going, hour and half hour-striking, hour-repeating Neuchâtel type pendulum wall bracket clock.
C. Lyre- shaped, with molded top and finial, ebonized apple tree, curved small feet, hinged and glazed front bezel, hinged back door, molded bracket, shape matching the top of the case. D. White enamel with concave center and convex hour chapter, bold radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring, with five-minute Arabic figures. Brass ?Louis XV? hands. M. Rectangular, 135 x 125 mm., brass, two going barrels, verge escapement, pendulum with steel rod and brass bob, silk suspension, rack striking with its mechanism set on the back plate. Signed on a small plate under the dial and the movement. Dim. Height 87 cm. (with bracket), width 33 cm.
