Jean-Henri Mons was baptized on April 7, 1729, became Master in 1766, and died in 1794. Massabieau a Montpellier, Swiss, circa 1730. Fine 8 day-going, hour and half-hour striking Neuchâtel type pendulum bracket clock.

C. Lyre-shaped with molded top and brass finial, brass bun feet, veneered burr walnut, hinged and glazed front bezel, hinged back door. D. Silvered chapter ring with champlevé Roman numerals, outer minute ring with five-minute Arabic figures applied on gilt brass matte plate, gilt brass appliqué below the dial with the name and pierced and engraved floral motives. Blued steel ?Louis XV? hands. M. Rectangular, 158 x 138 mm., brass, two going barrels, Brocot escapement (later conversion from verge), pendulum with steel rod and brass bob, silk suspension, count wheel on the back plate, striking on a bell set above the movement. Signed on a small plate under the dial and the movement. Dim. Height 65 cm., width 35 cm.
