T. de Ribaucourt, Abeville, France, circa 1660. Fine and rare silver single hand pre balance spring pendant watch with concealed dial.
C. Two-body, ?fermée? with deep back and inward edges, entirely engraved with floral pattern, hinged cover, small swivel pendant, loose ring. D. Silver with champleve radial Roman numerals and half hour divisions, center engraved with floral motives. Gilt ?tulip? hand. M. 33 mm., gilt brass full plate with baluster pillars, fusee and cat-gut, short 3-wheel train, verge escapement, circular steel foliot, irregular cock pierced and engraved with wild strawberries secured by a screw, worm-gear and pinion mainspring set-up. Signed on the movement. Diam. 43 mm.
