C. Two-body, back cover inlaid with leather and pierced for sound, bezel en suite. D. Gilt brass, finely matted, champlevé radial Roman numerals, ?diamond? half hours, inner quarter-hour ring, outer minute ring with five-minute Arabic figures on small polished cartouches, center chased with coat-of-arms of Britannia. Steel ?tulip? hands. M. 36 mm., hinged, gilt brass full plate with tulip pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring, symmetrical cock with small single foot, Tompion rack and pinion regulator with silver plate, silver count wheel on the back plate with fine steel arrest lever, striking on a bell with a single hammer. Signed on dial and movement. Diam. 52 mm.
