Unsigned, France, circa 1830 Fine and rare eight day-going, hour and half-hour striking and hour repeating mahogany veneered with Brazilian rosewood traveling clock with single-tooth lever escapement, alarm and date.
C. Rectangular with inlaid light edges, molded base, removable back door with spring-loaded catch, gilt brass bun feet, round bezel in the center, gilt brass handle. D. Silvered ring, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds in form of a revolving silvered ring set at the top, center set with the escapement. Blued steel, Breguet hands with pierced tips. M. 89 mm circular, brass, ?de Paris? type by Honoré Pons, both going barrels, single tooth straight line lever escapement set on the pillar plate on the dial, three-arm plain brass balance, flat balance spring, striking and repeating on a bell. Dim. 13 x 12 x 8 cm.
