Notes

It is well-known that during the Art Deco period many remarkable decorative objects were made in France. However, there were also many highly talented goldsmiths in America who used and adapted the American Art Deco style creating objects of high quality and splendid design, which rivaled with those produced in Europe. Some of the most renowned American goldsmiths and jewelers of that period were: Tiffany; Black, Starr & Frost; Marcus & Co.; Heyman Brothers; Charlton; Rubel John; Cartier New York.
