Le Roy (in Arabic characters), Swiss, circa 1825. Very fine 18K gold and enamel watch, made for the Islamic market.
C. Four-body with scalloped edge, front and back cover with 12 lobed sections with champlevé flowers on alternating pink and green grounds, center finely painted with musical trophies on light green ground, fixed cuvette, pendant decorated en suite. D. White enamel, radial Islamic numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold Breguet hands. M. 33 mm., hinged, gilt brass full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain brass tree-arm balance, flat balance spring, continental cock. Signed in Arabic characters on dial and movement. Diam. 40 mm.
