Adamson à Paris, No. 842, circa 1790. Very fine and elegant, slim, 18K gold and enamel, pearl and diamond-set quarter-repeating watch, in a glazed gilt brass protecting case.

C. Double-body, ?Directoire? with split-pearl set bezels, the dark blue translucent enamel back centered with a large diamond and encircled by multicolored floral paillon rosette. D. White convex enamel, Breguet numerals and ?star? minute divisions. Gold skeletonized hands. M. 40.5 mm. (18???), slim, hinged, gilded full plate with cylindrical pillars, the motor barrel passing through the back plate, cylinder escapement, countersunk plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator, repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dial and back plate. Diam. 56 mm.
