J.R. Lasada, 105 Regent St, London, No. 4921, hallmarked 1888-89. Very fine and very rare 18K gold hunting-cased Grande et Petite Sonnerie clockwatch with minute-repeating and special escapement made for the Spanish market.

Four-body, ?bassine et filets?, back with engraved rampant lion holding a cross engraved, bezels, band and pendant deeply engraved with floral and foliate motives, monogrammed front, gold hinged cuvette. D. Silver with applied gold decoration, radial Roman numerals separated by finely engraved stylized foliage, outer minute divisions and outermost applied gold oak-leaf pattern, center with applied gold rosette surrounded with stylized foliate engraving with applied gold laurel-leaf frame, subsidiary sunk seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 42 mm. (18 1/2???), frosted gilt, three-quarter-plate, 35 jewels, ruby duplex escapement, cut bimetallic balance, flat balance spring, engraved cock with diamond endstone, lever switching from Grande to Petite Sonnerie at 7 o?clock, striking/silent lever at 6 o?clock, striking and repeating on two gongs, repeating activation by a slide ion the band.
