The Pear J. Thaller in Huns Kirchen, Austria, circa 1830. Fine and amusing 18K gold and enamel concealed dial form watch in the shape of a pear.
C. Two-body, ?fermée? type in opaque green enamel with gold floral and foliate decoration with white enamel petals, edges in black and blue enamel stripes, gold stem. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute division. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 22.5 mm ø (10???), hinged, gilt brass full plate, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental cock. Signed on the movement. Dim. 52 x 27 mm.
