The Pear Unsigned, No. 8105, Geneva, circa 1815. Fine 18K gold and enamel concealed dial form watch in the shape of a pear.
C. Two-body, the spring-loaded top opens to reveal the movement, the top with four black enamel cartouches with symbols of love, marriage and prosperity, blue enamel lower part with gold flowers and rosette in the center, small gold pendant with stem decorated with gold filigree leaves. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions, winding aperture at 2 o?clock. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 19.6 mm (8 3/4???), hinged, gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain brass balance, single-footed gilt cock. Dim. 50 x 24 mm.
