The Shoe Unsigned, Geneva, circa 1800. Very rare and amusing 18K gold and enamel concealed dial form watch designed as a sabot shoe.

Two-body, hinged in the middle, the back containing the watch, top covered in translucent dark blue enamel over flinqué with gold floral motifs, opening in black enamel and gold net, the heel with yellow and azure enamel strips, the tip in yellow champlevé enamel with azure spots encircled in gold. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute ring, winding aperture between 1 and 2 o?clock. Gold ?spearhead? hands. M. 17 mm (7 1/2???), hinged, gilt full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain brass balance, continental cock pierced and engraved in six symmetrical patterns. Dim. Length 52 mm.
