YOUNG LOVE John Francis Achard, Geneve. No.1638. Made circa 1810. Very fine and attractive, gold, painted enamel and paste-set pocket watch within protective gilt metal and glass outer.
C. Two-body, reverse with paste-set outer, central enamel with scene of a young seated couple, upper blue enamel with fl oral decorations and applied stones, pink cartouche with two fi gures holding a ribbon over an alter with a heart, paste-set bezel. D. White enamel, black Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and quarter Arabic numerals, aperture for winding at 2 position. Gold beetle and poker hands. M. Gilt full-plate, turned pillars, fusee barrel, verge escapement, pierced and engraved continental cock with steel end-cap, silver regulator dial. Dial and movement signed, movement and bow numbered. Diam. 55 mm including outer.
