JAPANESE LADY ? TRIPLE CALENDAR & MOON PHASE WATCH Swiss. Made circa 1900. Fine, large, gun-metal, gilt and painted on enamel keyless pocket watch with triple-date calendar and moon phases.

C. Three-body, bassine et fi lets, gilt bow, bezel and hinges, the back cover decorated with a painted on enamel panel portrait of a Japanese lady against a blossom and gilt background. Gilt-rimmed glazed cover over the movement. D. Two-tone white and cream enamel with bold radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with Arabic fi ve-minute numerals, subsidiary dials for the date, days of the week, months and seconds, aperture for the moon phases. Gilt Louis XVI hands. M. 55 mm., rhodium plated, wavy-line decoration, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Diam. 67 mm.
