OUDIN ? ARMORIAL WATCH AND BROOCH Charles Oudin, H.er De S. M. L?Imperatrice, Palais Royal 52, (Paris), No. 16132. Made for a Vicomtesse, circa 1835. Very fine and rare, 18K gold and enamel lady?s pendant watch and a very fine varicolored gold and enamel detachable brooch in the form of a heraldic shield.

C. Four-body, bassine et fi lets, polished, the back fi nely engraved on gold with a coat of arms, royal blue translucent enamel background over sunray engine-turning. Hinged gold cuvette. The brooch of yellow and white matte gold, the center set with a champlevé enamel shield of a lily fl anked by antlers, very fi nely chased foliate and lily border, surmounted by a plumed helmet. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Gilt Breguet hands. M. 27 mm., gilt brass bar calibre, 6 jewels, cylinder escapement, plain gilt three-arm balance, fl at balance spring, index regulator. Dim. 31 mm.
