GOLD PADLOCK PENDANT WATCH Swiss, probably Geneva. Made circa 1860. Fine, gold and painted on enamel form watch in the shape of a padlock with a hinged cover concealing the dial and glazed compartment for a photograph in the back.

Four-body, polished and engraved, sliding panel over the dial decorated with painted on enamel fl owers, hinged back with an applied gold cartouche, the interior with a glazed compartment for a photograph and hinged gold strut. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White with painted black radial Roman numerals and outer minute divisions. Blued steel hands. M. Shield-shaped, gilt brass bar calibre, 6 jewels, cylinder escapement, plain gilt three-arm balance, fl at balance spring, index regulator. Dim. 37.5 x 21 mm. Thickness 12 mm.
