ANONYMOUS SWISS QUARTER REPEATER CHRONOGRAPH, RETAILED BY FELSING, BERLIN Anonymous, Swiss, case No. 72137, retailed by Felsing, Berlin. Made for the German market, circa 1900. Very fine and rare, 14K pink gold, hunting-cased, quarter repeating, keyless, pocket watch with chronograph and register.
C. Four-body, bassine, polished, hinged cover, back and cuvette. D. White enamel with painted radial Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions and 1/5th seconds track with Arabic 25-second markers, subsidiary dials for the seconds and the 30-minute register. Gilt Louis XV hands. M. 18???, frosted gilt, 35 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Cuvette signed: Conrad Felsing, Koeniglicher Hof-Uhrmacher (Watchmaker to the King), Berlin. Diam. 54 mm.
