C. Rectangular, stepped base, brass feet, the back with a hinged door, the bottom with holes to accentuate the gongs, a pull button on the side to activate the gong. D. White enamel dials for the time, age of the moon and date, Roman numerals for the time, Arabic numerals for the date and moon phase dials. Fine pierced gilt-brass hands, brass arrow calendar hands, all set to a circular brass backplate with fi nely engraved fl oral decoration. M. Circular brass and steel, large spring barrels for the going and striking trains, pin-wheel escapement, string suspension, striking on three gongs. Dial signed. Dim. 28 x 21 x 14 cm.
