MATHEY-TISSOT PENDULETTE DE VOYAGE A REPETITION MINUTES E. Mathey-Tissot & Co., Swiss, "Pendulette de voyage a repetition minutes", No. 12587. Made circa 1910. Very fine and rare, silver-gilt, enamel and black onyx, 8-day going, minute repeating desk clock with painted dial.
C. Rectangular silver with white champleve enameled borders, entirely decorated with a translucent yellow guilloche enamel, silver bezel, standing on a rectangular black onyx base with four feet and pierced trim, hinged engine-turned silver-gilt back door, agate push-piece. D. Oval ivory with radial black Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, the center painted in watercolor with a landscape scene. Black and green enameled gilt hands. M. Rhodium plated, rectangular with going barrel, platform with straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the push piece on the top. Case and movement signed. Dim. 76 x 53 x 42 mm.
